New Attendance Record Set With John Ford’s The Quiet Man

We’d like to thank all the fans who attended our screening of The Quiet Man on March 13, 2019. We had over a thousand patrons (1,015) in attendance for this John Wayne classic. This is a new record for the Pickwick Theatre Classic Film Series. It was a prodigious turnout for a Wednesday night– an event enjoyed by people of all ages.

We are very grateful to everyone who attended the matinee and evening screenings. In addition, we are indebted to our honorary guest, Maggie McEldowney (2016 International Rose of Tralee), for bringing the luck of the Irish with her.

We would like to thank our organist, Jay Warren, for his festive pre-show music; our hostess, Allison, and our ticket-taker, Beka. Thank you to our projectionist, Jerry, and to the theatre management and staff.

We would also like to thank Maria Melnyk, who took all the wonderful photos you see here. Be sure to visit our Photo Archive for more great images from this show!

Finally, thank you to The Harp & Fiddle, the Irish-American Heritage Center, and to the Irish community in general for supporting our St. Patrick’s Day event.
