I’d like to thank the 40 patrons who were in attendance last night at Wilmette Public Library for our 7 PM program, “Tim McCoy’s Real Wild West.” More than half were from our Park Ridge classic film community, so I am very grateful to all of them for making the trek north. Considering we were profiling an actor few had even heard of–and that there was no media coverage– we’ll take that 40, which is a relatively high total for an in-person program at Wilmette.
We were able to share a lot of great information about Tim McCoy courtesy of his personal papers held at the American Heritage Center in Laramie, Wyoming. With the wonderful Q & A that followed, the program ran nearly 90 minutes.
Behind the scenes, I’d like to thank our photographer, Maria Melnyk (whose images you see here), and at Wilmette Public Library: Christine (for her tech assistance) and Jennifer and Cathleen for making this event possible in the first place.
