Planes, Trains and Automobiles (1987) is a heartwarming comedy and one of director John Hughes’ best films. This modern holiday classic features Steve Martin as an ad exec who just wants to get home to his family for Thanksgiving. John Candy is the annoying salesman who joins him for the ride in this hilarious road movie. The film was a hit at the box office and has become a staple for Thanksgiving viewing. We’ll be presenting the film with pre-show organ music, a vintage cartoon, and a preview of our December Christmas movie.
