It had been 19 months since we last presented a film at the Pickwick Theatre Classic Film Series. The reaction we received on September 15, 2021, clearly indicated that people are ready to come back out to the show. The paid attendance was 448— more than we expected for our debut screenings of Raiders of the Lost Ark. Not surprisingly, this was the largest crowd at the Pickwick Theatre in two years.
We appreciate the support we received from everyone who attended. We are grateful to Jay Warren for his 7 pm pre-show music on the Mighty Wurlitzer. Thank you to our hostesses, Beka and Jessica, as well as to the Pickwick Theatre staff and management.
And congratulations to all the winners of our prize giveaway. The first 88 patrons through the door at 6:30 pm received a vintage Topps trading card from the movie. As there were 88 cards in the complete set, we decided it would be limited to that number of fans. We gave away advance tickets to the Pickwick Theatre Classic Film Series, original collectors’ albums to Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, and several Blu-ray copies of Raiders of the Lost Ark.
