The Great EscapeV2

Don’t miss one of the greatest war films ever made when we screen John Sturges’ The Great Escape (1963), starring Steve McQueen, James Garner, Richard Attenborough, Charles Bronson, James Coburn, David McCallum, and Donald Pleasance. Based on a true story, The Great Escape is an epic adventure about Allied POWS plotting an escape from a Nazi prisoner camp. Steve McQueen, as the “Cooler King,” was already famous because of The Magnificent Seven, but with one leap on a motorcycle, he became a star. Featuring outstanding cinematography by Daniel Fapp (shot in Germany) and an unforgettable film score by Elmer Bernstein, The Great Escape is one of the essentials of 1960s cinema. We are proud to present it on our newly re-opened Megatheatre, which offers one of the largest movie screens in the Chicagoland area.

Escape from the boredom of television and home entertainment and join us for a theatrical experience like none other!
