More Audience Feedback

Here is some wonderful feedback we’ve received regarding the Pickwick Theatre Classic Film Series. Fortunately, as we discovered last week, the door has not closed on us and we will be able to continue to show movies at the theatre. We are very grateful to patrons like Mike and so many others who shared their thoughts and supported us one way or the other during this uncertain time…

Matthew, Last year about this time I wrote you after we had seen ‘The African Queen’ at the Pickwick. As the Classic Film series ends tomorrow (very sad all around), let me reiterate my sentiments to you on the spectacular work you have done from the very beginning of the Classic Film series that you have produced and shown at the Pickwick since September 2013:

  • I have rarely seen a person put their ‘heart and soul’ so enthusiastically as you have done with the Classic Film series and have it turn out so wonderful and successful. You deserve a huge amount of praise and credit. Take a bow!
  • The Classic Film series is one of the best things that ever happened in Park Ridge (and the surrounding area in general) as the films are not only enjoyable but many are very thought-provoking. The classic films by and large elevate attendees and the community. We can learn so much from films, particularly the classics, and enjoy ourselves with family and friends at the same time. Great combination!
  • My feeling about ‘closings’ is that when one ‘door’ closes, so to speak, there is usually another ‘open door’ in plain view that wasn’t noticed or used before. Your film expertise, enthusiasm, and knowledge of successfully running this unique Classic Film series is arguably unmatched in the entire country and I strongly believe what you have to offer will be in demand by other groups and in another venue – even larger than the Pickwick audiences. Stay positive; you’ll do great with lots of people cheering you on!

Matthew, take care for now and again a sincere THANK YOU for all your hard work and efforts. They are truly appreciated and will never be forgotten. Good luck. Mike S., Niles
